Who Would You Save First? THIS Is Why You Need to Make a Decision!

When life is calm and gentle, it is easy to be a good person. However, when danger threatens and we are exposed to enormous pressure, our good upbringing can quickly slip away. Dangerous situations bring out the animal in us, or at least the primitive human who still had to fight for their lives with saber-toothed tigers and mammoths. We have prepared a little quiz for you that will challenge you to make unpopular but life-saving decisions. Of course, to be prepared for the worst, we'll also show you the best choice you could make in each of these scenarios.

1. Who gets the last seat in the lifeboat?

The first image immediately presents you with a particularly difficult choice. There's only one place left in this boat. You have to decide whether to take someone's child, not yours, your own dog, or a suitcase full of cash, $10,000,000 to be exact, to your safety. Don't think about it too long. Who gets your helping hand and who doesn't? What decisions do we always make emotionally, rarely just rationally? In case of emergency it will be even more so that you will be guided by feelings and not by your intellect. But this would offer you a solution, according to which you would not have to decide at all. It is: Save the child first, even if it is not your own. Why? Your dog is in 99% of the cases at least by nature a talented swimmer, who can quite effortlessly stay afloat for a while or even save himself on land. The child does not have this ability yet. If you put him in the boat first, he will be safe. Afterwards, you can even take care of the suitcase with the millions.

2. An old lady, a cute baby or an attractive woman?

With this image, it is now already more difficult to behave spontaneously, morally correct. Basically, all people probably struggle with the question of whether the young life or the old person deserves our help first. The young woman, pretty or not, is of all three the one who could probably swim the best and stay afloat the longest. The only question that remains is: old or young? Which counts more? Thank God we already have the correct answer for this dilemma as well. You can escape it by being strategic. Keep in mind that the rescue raft at your disposal has been equipped with a long rope. If you want to get the maximum out of this predicament for everyone involved, save the old lady first. Why? She can't stay in the water for long, but on board she'll be of great use to you as an adult if you want to save the child from drowning afterwards. Use the rope for that. If you do it cleverly, you will also bring the pretty girl in tow to the saving shore.

3. Father and sister are in danger of falling. Who will be saved?

The next image is also about making the right decision, but it is not necessarily the one we would spontaneously make based on our gut. If your sister is about to fall into a pool with a shark, you logically tend to help her first. You might ignore the fact that your father is about to fall into a sea of flames on the grounds that he, as a grown and strong man, is better able to help himself than your sister. But the solution here is just the opposite. The right thing to do would be to rescue your father from his predicament first, then together you will have a better chance of saving your sister from becoming the next snack for the shark tank.

4. Your mother, your daughter, your sister. Who wins?

You are taking a boat trip together on a river. Suddenly, your mother, your daughter and your sister fall out of the boat at the same time and into the raging waters. Who do you help first? Instinctively, we would pretty much try to save our own child first. Maternal instinct can't help but sell us this decision as the obvious one when our life is in danger. In fact, the chances of a good end result increase if you give your mind priority here. Again, save your mother, and therefore the adult, first. She can then help you pull your daughter and sister out of the water.

5. Car accident with one injured person

This mystery is probably easy to solve. A car has crashed down the slope, trapping the driver by the leg underneath. A woman and a child have already managed to free themselves from the vehicle and are standing next to it. Since they were obviously hardly injured, you can concentrate fully on the driver and set the rescue chain in motion.

6. Family, best friend, lover or a million dollars?

In this case, you have to choose between 4 different options. This test says a lot about your values and morals. If you save your family first, you know that they are irreplaceable in your life and deserve the highest value. Conversely, if you choose your best friend, you know that he or she would jump through rings of fire for you at any time. Saving your lover or partner is a testament to your belief that true love comes into your life only once and you must protect it at all costs. All that's left is money. If you let family, friends and partners drown in its favor, people are not your cup of tea. Too many of them have disappointed you or taken advantage of you. This decision does not automatically make you a bad person. You just rely on the tried and true and choose the safe bank.

7. Four fundamentally different emergency situations

The last picture shows 4 completely different scenarios. One picture shows an old man with a walking stick who has to cross the street. Next to him a cat, panic-stricken, wandering on the street. Next, a lady carrying a heavy load. And finally, a man repairing his broken car. What would be the best solution here? If you choose the old man, you are attached to values and uphold traditions. If it is the cat your heart goes out to, then you are more of an animal than a humanitarian. The man with the car could wait, there are professionals for that. If you are a born leader, you will help the lady with the many bags first.

Today's Conclusion: theory and practice

It is not difficult to make the correct and wisest decisions from a safe comfort zone. Acting correctly in an emergency and saving as many lives as possible requires a great deal of courage and moral integrity. No one knows for sure beforehand how we would behave in an emergency. That's it for today.
